Anyone here ride? I'm about to start, and I'm not sure about the Arkansas Class M. Is it very hard? Does anyone have a study guide for it? Anyone know a MSF instructor that can give me a smoking deal? I had a class M permit from my home state, but has been expired for about 6 years.

I wouldn't know about the Arkansas class M. I just told 'em I had a class M in Illinois and they gave it to me here without question.
Anyway, I ride, and frequently. Riding is my #1 hobby. Wheelin' comes second. My bikes are in my forum profile/picture-album thing - "Toys".
Anyway...
I don't know about a specific Motorcycle study guide, all I've seen is the standard one...
http://www.asp.state.ar.us/divisions/hp/pdf/ar%20dl%20study%20guide_october%202007.pdf
It has a very small section on motorcycles.
MSF courses don't look to be too popular in Arkansas...
http://nm.msf-usa.org/msf/ridercourses.aspx
... not many around. Wow. Wonder if the Camp Robinson location offers it to civilians?
Anyway, let me know if you need some help with the test (getting the bike there for the test) or a riding buddy once you're set.

Motocycle license test? 10 questions, one being is it easier to see on a bike? I'll help you out, answer, Yes because you can see 360degrees. Good luck! LOL. Have fun! Nice bike, better price!

Aaron on here has my old bike, 2002 Shadow Sabre 1100cc. Sweet bike! My buddy has a 2001 800 Marauder for sale. He told me $1000, but I don't want another bike. I love my XJ!
M test is a joke. Read the manual once and be done.

I may be able to get the Camp Robison one. I'm .mil. I do have to have a MSF BRC in order to ride, more .mil stuff. I get my permit, get the BRC, then show the state the cert and I'm handed a license.
I rode street bike for two seasons back home and LOVED IT. I raced motocross for several years as well. Too agresive for me anymore. But once I am set up I'll definetly get with you. Never rode in groups much at all, just a few toy runs. If I am still around here in the spring (I pray to God I'm not) I am hoping for some trips into the Ozarks. Interested?

Thanks! The test in ND was no joke, very serious. And thanks on the bike, very dated, but ALL low end acceleration! She tops at about 130.

An Ozark trip would be a blast. I know a few guys with various vet and leo clubs around here. Be fun to put a good ride together.
I just did a cool ride up in Milwaukee, WI while I was up there couple weekends ago working on my old house. My club led a ride to the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall.

Don't have any pics of the ride itself in there yet - but it was probably ~100 bikes, police escorted ride through Milwaukee.

I've got a Honda VTX 1800F and I ride all the time... but I'm in MS.
I took an MSF course in Southaven, MS not too long ago and the course itself was $250. 2 days classroom and 2 days "range"
it dropped my ins by 5%, but that's about it.
If you decide to put together a ride... I'll probably be in depending on the where and when, seeing as how I'm in MS.

Been riding for many moons. Just got my first cruiser, '08 M109R LE (traded the SuperDuke). Holler anytime you want to ride. I am always up for it. I spend more time riding and more money wheeling. I've done the test in Illinois, Texas, Arizona and Arkansas. All about the same. Pretty easy.
Keep the shiny side up weather your wheelin or scootin!

She tops at about 130. I hit a culvert going this fast .. and no .. it wasn't a sudden stop ... I flipped and flopped and slid for 75 yards before stopping ..
the radiologist said that if i had neck, i woulda broke it ...
I had the worst concussion that he had seen in 35 yrs. that didnt cause brain damage... I still aint back to normal... cant spin around at all without passing out and have terrible memory problems and headaches...
good luck .... have fun and ride safe..

I use to ride all the time. There are some great riding spots around the state. Here are a few of the bikes I had over the years. I wouldn't mind making my Jeep look like the blue and silver one.

Ive been on 2 wheels in one form or another since i was a kid. Currently have a ZX9R that is my daily commuter... it saved me enough $$$ through the high gas era that its more than payed for itself.
I was with sureshot that day he wiped out and i guess thats the first time ive ever seen a bike explode without the use of C4, dynamite, etc. LOL. What we shoulda got a pic of was the ride home with his big *** on the back of my then new CBR600F3. Between him and me we had 500lbs on that poor thing.

Still need to do a ride sometime. Keep an eye/ear open for any good Poker Runs and post 'em up here when you see 'em.
Feels like forever since I've been on a good group ride.

Theres one going on today at Hard Rider's in Jacksonville. I don't know anything more on it.
Life changed on me, so no bike for now. Probably 2 years. Once I do ride, it'll be a cruiser with EFI with overdrive.

I miss my old cruiser, Aaron has it now. My next will be a cruiser, probably Harley Davidson.

Man with all this nice weather, and seeing everyone riding around its KILLING me not having a bike anymore. Had a V-Rod, and will own another one day.
