Write your state reps in support of HB1237. This will legalize CC at church. Churches retain the right to prohibit it themselves (as on all private property). The state has no business telling a church what they can and cannot allow on their property. The state is lucky nothing has happened in a church here. I think it would be a slam dunk lawsuit as it is explicitly forbidden in both constitutions for the state to butt in on these matters. Even if this doesn't pass and you get the OK from your preacher I would carry with no second thoughts. Private property, the state can kiss it.

Mr. Sample,
I am writing today to urge you to support HB1237, make your support known, and to vote in favor of this measure if it makes it out of committee.
HB1237, you may know, aims to strike the prohibition on licensed concealed carry holders carrying in places of worship. Upstanding, responsible citizens of the state of Arkansas should be afforded the ability to protect themselves in all situations.
Underlining the importance of this bill, a concealed carry permit holder Colorado recently stopped a spree killer before he could take the lives of more of her fellow worshippers. It made the national news at the time. The article listed the shooter as a "security guard" - in actuality you'll see she volunteered to be present for services that day, as a shooting at another church had concerned her.
Throughout my research, I have not found a single instance of a licensed concealed carry permit holder killing anyone in a church or other place of worship, either maliciously or by negligence.
Thank you for your time and service,
