I spent the day at Superlift today (Friday) My brother in law went with me so we spent the first half of the day running 2's, then he jumped in mine and we did some more adventursome trails. I hit ravine. gorge, from there we hooked up with some of the texas group. Started on King Cobra, then to Red Oak. From there we did ulitimate adventure & 4 fingers..

New tires are awesome, I only drug my receiver once!

I arrived on Friday evening at about 0dark:30. Visited with BJ and Tweeder for a bit and went to bed. Saturday morning my wife and kid, Blake, Randy, Tim and Tweeder showed up we ran some easy trails. I had a minor malfunction, fixed it and came back for more later.

The highlight of the weekend for me was Myself, Blake Donnie and Randy running Ingrid's Revenge. It was my first time. That is a fun trail!!! I made a couple attempts at some of the obsacles as did Randy. Donnie's rig did really well with his new BFG Crawlers. He had trouble on some of the stuff where wheel-base was an issue but he did very well.

I spent most of the weekend with Gary Hendrickson and Co. He owns a body shop in Texarkana and is also a Rhino dealer. He brought his two Rhino's up. BJ and I guided them on a night run and I guided them on some harder trails on Sunday. Eventually we jumped in with a bunch of big tire rigs(40+). The Rhino does pretty good but it lacks ground clearance in the center.

We ran Four fingers and a couple of people dropped out due to some malfunctions. Then we went to run Gregs Rocks. I decided to try the little rock garden at the bottom and ended up breaking he u-bolts on my front driveshaft. Time to put it on the trailer. The rest of the group ran GR and then punched out.

Overall it was a fun weekend. Weak showing by the club but that's understandable on a major holiday. I think if everyone would plan in advance to attend next year's event it would be great. The more the merrier!

Today, I led some stockers around on a bunch of 2s and a few 3s. *

this morning, I led JD McCall (cherokee-indian) through Bilstein, Power Wagon, Buckhorn N, and Don's 101. *he did pretty good with those 29s and i only had to give him a little tug on 101. *he was also having serious issues with overheating so he left at noon.

after lunch, a local guy in an XJ showed up and i took them across the road and ran Dog Leg and Chrysler Canyon. *after that we went back to the parking lot so he could air up and take one of his passengers home. *when we got there, i found a TJ getting ready to go out and took them up Over The Hill, Dog Leg, that trail to the right of Red Oak. *after that, we met up with some friends of theirs in a dune buggy and a YFZ450 and went to King Cobra to try that new section. *No dice. *the gravel is bad loose there and right in the middle of the hillclimb is a big-*** rock that just stopped me cold.

we were running out of daylight and the guy on the quad wanted to go see the motocross track, so instead of finishing King Cobra (with liberal use of my winch) we turned around and headed on back. *maybe some other day..... :-/

by the way, i don't think we'll be letting Steve run with us stockers, anymore. *he's got a bit of a track record of breaking **** on easy trails, now. [smiley=rolleyes]

So, you're telling me you couldn't make it up the hill the Englishman in the Defender went up?? [smiley=rolleyes]

he dug it out so much the d@mn rock was a foot high. and the group i was leading was rather conservative. i COULD have made it on the next try, but daylight was running out and i didn't want to spend the rest of it winching the rest.
