View Full Version : Dead jeeps
Well, 2 weekends ago, the red jeep's knocking finally turned into something that locked the engine. Then last night, the green jeep's engine had something start rattling around under a valve cover. Looks like I'll be spending some time repairing vehicles for a while.

Will your's sounds pretty minor. you should be able to fix a valve train malfunction within two weeks. Heck I'm gonna try to fix a broken T-cas and F-ed up driveshaft before then. You guys need to have someone remove that candy from your ars and get your stuff fixed. :) If you can that is......

Sounds like a bunch of under built over tired vehicles to me. Looking cool isn't cheap.
I took off the passenger side valve cover tonight on the green jeep and found a broken exhaust valve spring and no valve stem in sight. Hopefully the damage isn't major.
Pulled the head tonight. One bent intake valve and one missing exhaust valve. :o

Mystery solved. There's part of the missing valve.

if shrek dosen't hurry and get the motor, out of my yard you can.
Head got picked up today to get that cylinder rebuilt. Honing stones got ordered today too for the cylinder. It turns out that the cylinder did get a little scratched. I hope to have it back together after next weekend.
Some good news. I got the red YJ back on the road today.
