What one do you recommend for a xj build

you will need the dingo scx10 frame/kit.

wheelbase is.. 11.4in

and proline xj body..

you can buy the kit,and sell all the stuff you dont need and recoupe some of your $ back for other parts..
or possibly trade parts with someone for something you need.

or

you can buy all the parts you need pretty much off ebay
separately from the same seller..sometimes.
as alot of people are buying the axial kits and rtr's and selling the components..
axles/tranny/motors/frame rails/skids/linkage/bearings

ive dealt with this list for over 5 years now and only had 2 claims ive had to file to get there attention.
