2004, lariat, F350 short bed crew. Got a great deal on it. Lets just say I got for right at $8k under the NADA retail value. Has 143k miles on it. It gets a heck of a lot better fuel mileage than my gas burner 2wd F250 crew (and that is even with much bigger tires).

A word of advice... DO NOT PUT A PROGRAMMER ON IT!. At least until ya put an Egr delete and maybe even head studs on it
They run great but require a few thing to survive added power
BTW. nice looking rig!!!!!
Ty, what do you know about oil burners anyhow?

Drove to Watauga, TX to pick it up yesterday. I don't plan on doing much to it as far as a programmer or anything go. I just wanted something with a little more power, and better mileage than my gas burner (the 4x4 will be nice too). If I ever do decide to up the power, you will be the first person I consult with Ty!

I have a 99 just like yours and I love it. The only problem is $3.40 diesel.

That is why I have thought about going back to a gas burner. I havent seen the fuel milage yet:sad:
What kinda MPG did your 5.4 get?

12mpg on a good day. Best I ever got was around 14 on the highway, but my average was around 10. I got close to 18 mpg in the new truck yesterday, driving about 50 miles around the Dallas Metro in pretty heavy traffic, letting it sit idling for almost an hour, and driving home on interstate. Keep in mind the tires measure right at 34" tall.

This, and its only going up from there. I will say this is the first time in a LONG time that Premium has been equal or more than Diesel. Wont last long.

It is still sitting in my driveway. At least for a few more days until my buyer comes to pick it up.

Gas is only ever about $0.25 a gallon cheaper than diesel. That'll never out weigh the power, dependability and the 19-20 mpg I get out of my 5.9 Cummins.

That may have been truth prior to 2003 but that just doesn't hold true anymore
